MEDIA

Only officially certified medias (e.g. ISO) are used.

Iron removal filter (blue) may use these media:

  1. Gravel - multifunctional media. Used for versatile water purification from mechanical impurities, sediments, iron. Fractions in mm: 0.4-0.8; 0.8-1.2; 1-3; 3: 5; 5:10.
  2. Birm - Clack Corp USA media, which is easily washable; Fractions in mm: ±1,0 - 3,0 
  3. Antracit - it is a very light media that has little effect on system pressure. It is completely natural and easily washable, but it needs a high water flow. This media is suitable for water that has low amounts of iron. Fractions in mm: ± 0.6 - 1.2.
  4. Pyrolox - if the amount of iron is higher than 5 mg/l, this media is suitable. It's operation also requires high pressure, as well as higher amount of water for rinsing. Because of this the pressure in the system is reduced, the washing cycle is longer (washing is harder, compared to normal conditions). In addition, we recommend purchasing the WS-CI CLACK CORP valve for the system; Fractions in mm: ± 0.5 - 1.0
  5. Nevtraco - it’s a natural danish media. In addition to iron, it also removes small amounts of amonium. Fractions in mm: ± 1.0 - 3.0 pebbles.

The composition of this filter:

  • Birm US media;
  • Sand (special sand) - 0.4 - 0.8 mm or 1.5 - 2.5 mm.
  • Gravel (special gravel) - 3.0 - 5.0 mm.

OPERATION OF IRON REMOVAL FILTERS

System service time is more than 10 years. The system is updated by changing the load and cleaning the internal parts. Renewal price from 140 EUR.

INSTALLATION

Requirements:

  1. water inlet;
  2. a nearby sewer pipe (may be in another room);
  3. space for water filter;
  4. electricity.

If there is no sewer:

  1. the hose is taken out to the field. When the filter washes, water flows into the field.
  2. the hose is taken out to the field. The "REGEN" button is pressed - the filter washes and water flows into the field.

The filter can be backwashed every 7 days, washing time ± 15 minutes.

Available installation options:

  1. Self-installation. The equipment warranty remains valid. If necessary the installation diagram is transmitted or forwarded by e-mail. by mail.

One unscrewed tap requires ~0.4 m3 per hour. If you have your own house and a family of 3-4 people lives in it, a maximum of 4 taps can be used at a time. In this case, the capacity of the iron removal filters should be 1.6 m3 per hour.

Note: The concept of open taps includes a shower, a washing machine, a dishwasher.

Other options are available on request.

Recommendations:

  • When the iron is more than 3 mg / l, we recommend choosing a more powerful iron filter, which is one size larger.
  • When the iron is more than 4 mg / l, we recommend using two tanks.

OPERATION 

OXIDATION TANK (first blue cylinder in the system)

Air is a powerful oxidizer. For this reason, the oxidation tank is used to remove iron, manganese, sulfur, and hydrogen sulfide (the smell of rotten eggs) from the water. Air quickly converts iron and reduces hydrogen sulfide, sulfur and manganese. In this way, all these substances are easily removed from the water using the filter we offer.

An air compressor or injector may be used to operate the oxidation tank.

In the last illustration, we see how air enters the water above the aeration system, removing iron and other compounds. The system has a small air compressor and a special tank for water purification. It automatically releases excess air and automatically supplies it when it is missing. This column undergoes aeration and oxidation of hydrogen sulfide.

The air compressor supplies air to the tank as well as to the pocket of the compressed air molds, i. the upper part of the tank. When the water enters the tank, it hits the partition in the pipe at the opening head, then descends through the compressed air pocket. It is further aerated in the tank before the water leaves the long rack. When the air compressor is turned on, the valve opens. At the same time, the air-water mixture enters the tank in the middle.

The compressor and ventilation on the left control the sequence of the same air circuit. When the air compressor is running, the ventilation is open, the air is being changed. When the compressor shuts down, the opening closes and the compressed air remains in the pocket. The air circuit forces the compressor to shut down. The aeration system is switched on when the air compressor is running.

FILTER OPERATION

The water filter collects the precipitated iron (from Fe2 to Fe3) in the form of a precipitate. These (Fe3) mechanical impurities are accumulated by the filter. The filter must be rinsed periodically. The rinsing process is performed at least every 7 days. It goes in both directions - both up and down. In this way, the accumulated impurities are removed. When there is a lot of iron in the water, we recommend double or extended filter rinsing. In this case, a control valve with 5 buttons WS-CI should be selected.

Example: The filter washes automatically every 7 days. When the filter starts to wash, select the time when the probability of using water is the lowest. The filter is usually washed for 2 hours at night (factory setting). It washes for 15 minutes, then automatically returns to the working position.

FILTER OPERATION WITH IMPROVED WS-CI VALVE (5 buttons)

Improved equipment. The filter washes automatically according to the set interval. The recommended interval is from 1 day to 7 days. The filter can also be washed according to the amount of water passed. The washing frequency of the filter will depend on the amount of iron in the water and the water consumption.

Example: When the iron content in the water is 2 mg / l, it is recommended that the filter be washed every 6 days or when 1.8 m3 of water is passed.
